Hi, I am Jasmine!~ Video Coming soon

Hi, I’m Jasmine Jaquess, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor providing online therapy in Colorado. I’ve been working with clients since 2021, and I earned my master’s degree in 2022. Since then, I’ve been practicing as a therapist under supervision, and I’m on track to receive my LPC in March 2025—just a heads-up that my rates may change at that time. Originally from the Midwest, I made the leap to Colorado for the mountains, hiking, nature, and the sense of peace they bring.

As an expert in my field, my goal is to empower and support individuals in navigating their relationships, improving communication, regulating emotions, and setting healthy boundaries. Whether you’re professionally balancing work and personal life, someone seeking stronger connections, managing a move, setting boundaries with family, or processing past trauma, I focus on making you feel empowered, supported, seen, and heard.

My Therapy Approach!

I believe in a personalized approach to therapy, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to best meet your unique needs. My toolbox includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Somatic Experiencing techniques, mindfulness-based therapies, psychodynamic approaches, narrative therapy, and more. Each session is tailored to help you achieve your personal goals, guided by the best method for your journey.

I’m excited to be a part of your journey towards growth and healing. Let’s work together to build the life you want, with the support and guidance you deserve.

About Me

As a Provisionally Licensed Therapist, I believe therapy is a vital part of whole-body health. Just like you would visit a doctor when you're physically unwell, seeking therapy can help address beliefs and challenges that might be holding you back. My approach isn’t about fixing you; it's about offering a space where you can be fully yourself. Together, we will navigate your conflicts and explore tough issues, providing an objective perspective to help you see new ways to approach your situation. I’m here to support you as the expert of your own life, collaborating with you to create a personalized plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals.

I believe that meaningful change takes time and commitment. While therapy isn’t always easy, and sometimes involves tough conversations and deep exploration, the skills and perspectives you gain will serve you far into the future. My role is to guide and empower you, helping you recognize that with effort, growth, and healing are possible.

No Matter Your Identity, I Am Here to Support You!

I’m dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals who have felt unseen or marginalized. As a BIPOC neurodiverse therapist, I understand the challenges of navigating various identities and roles in everyday life. Whether you're exploring your identity, managing life transitions, or seeking a therapist who truly understands, I'm here to walk with you on this journey. If you're looking for a therapist who can connect with your unique experiences, let’s talk—we might be a great fit!

Counseling Experience

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology from Truman State University, and I am passionate about helping others through a holistic approach to wellness. While physical and nutritional health are crucial aspects of well-being, I believe that mental and emotional health are equally important pieces of the puzzle.

As a multiracial BIPOC woman who is adopted and neurodivergent, I understand the complexities of navigating spaces that may not always feel welcoming. I have personal experience with anxiety, depression, emotional eating, high achievement, perfectionism, and body image issues. I am dedicated to helping you work through these challenges as you build your identity and navigate various life transitions.

I’m also actively involved in research focusing on BIPOC and Black women in the eating disorder field, presenting my findings at conferences and regularly connecting with my community to offer support and resources. My commitment to advocacy and understanding drives my practice, and I am here to ensure that you feel seen and heard.

A significant part of my practice includes Christian counseling, and I value integrating faith into sessions for those who seek it. Whether you're looking for guidance through a faith-based lens or prefer to work without that focus, I am open and flexible to meet your needs. My priority is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to explore and address whatever you bring to the table.

I am here to support you, no matter your background, beliefs, or experiences. Together, we will create a plan that aligns with your values and goals, and I’m honored to accompany you on this journey toward healing and growth.
